Berthel Fisher recruits Indiana practice managing $146 million
Cedar Rapids firm adds Fort Wayne team and names new vice president of business development

Cedar Rapids-based Berthel Fisher Companies recruited APP Financial, a Fort Wayne, Indiana practice that manages approximately $146 million in client assets, the firm announced July 8.
The move brings Gregory Whitenack and two additional team members to the local independent financial services firm.
Berthel Fisher also appointed Madyson Tracy as vice president of business development.
"We are excited to welcome Greg and Minerva to Berthel Fisher," said Paige Christofferson, chief business development officer at Berthel Fisher, in a release. "They are an excellent fit for our firm because they share our belief that strong relationships, responsive service and practical support are central to helping financial professionals serve clients well."
Whitenack said the team sought a Midwest-based firm that understands relationship-driven businesses and offers more than one service model.
"We did not want a one-size-fits-all platform or a firm built only around an RIA structure," he said.
